-Ethical views can evolve and change over time as society's values change.

Ethics in Biotechnology Debateable questions
Remember, biotechnology is in all areas
-Medicine
-Enviromental
-Agriculture
There are many debatable areas we can cover when it comes to biotechnology but I have chosen a few that we will debate. The platform that we will be using will be through a discussion board in Schoology. I will pose a question and you will answer pro and con for that particular section. I will explain more when the discussion board is opened but this is how it will work. One person will answer my question. That person has started the debate. They will then provide either the pro for that question or a con. The next person will then rebut or agree with that person. You will have to justify why you feel against what the person states or why you agree with that person. You must have back up on your reasoning. You can not just state your feelings it has to have support based on research, articles, or current studies on that topic. You will have to provide a link on that particular article or where you found it. You can use videos as well but all must come from a credible source. You will be given all the topics, then you will have that day and the following week for research. Make sure you save your links because you will have to include them in your discussion board post. The debate will occur the following week, so we will be debating the week of 4/20 and will continue through 5/1/20. You will have a different topic each class meeting.
The format for the discussion board debate will be I pose the question, one person answers pro or con with justification. Another person answers that persons answer with either a rebuttal or support of their answer. Each person will have to have a support and a rebuttal to the questions posed.
